1 small onion chopped (1/4 cup)
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup frozen peas
2 cups tomato juice
1 1/4 cup water
3/4 tsp chopped fresh or 1/4 tsp dried basil leaves
3/4 tsp chopped fresh or 1/4 tsp dried marjoram leaves
1/8 tsp pepper
1 dried bay leaf
1 cup uncooked pasta (egg noodles, rotini, or wagon wheels)
** (I generally only put in the dried basil leaves and pepper and then skip the other spices)
In a large pot, cook beef and onion until beef is brown, drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients except pasta. Heat to boiling, stir in noodles, reduce heat. Simmer uncovered about 10 min, stir occasionally until noodles are tender.
Remove bay leaf - serve. makes four servings.
