3 pounds fresh beef brisket (I use what ever roast meat is on sale - it might be brisket, rump roast or shoulder roast)
1 package (1.3 oz) onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth
Place beef in 3-4 quart slow cooker. Mix dry soup mix and broth together and pour over meat.
Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours (I cook mine for 7 hours, as my cooker runs very hot)
Remove beef from cooker, cut into slices or shred. Serve on hoagie rolls, saving the liquid in the cooker for dipping sauce if you like. Top sandwiches with cheese, peppers, BBQ sauce, or anything else you like.
