The ingredients are really to your taste - this is what we do.
2 cups cooked chicken or turkey - cut up
1 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup frozen peas
3/4 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup chopped carrot
1 can chicken broth (add more or less according to your liking)
1 tsp dried thyme
3/4 tsp sea salt
3/4 tsp pepper
1 cup uncooked egg noodles (add more or less according to your liking)
Add broth to large pot, add carrots - cook until boiling. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until all veggies are cooked through. Serve. If you plan to freeze some - let cool first.
** I don't add the noodles if I know I am going to freeze it. Instead, I make the soup as directed without the noodles and freeze it. When we want to eat it, I thaw it out in a pot and add a can of Cream of Chicken with herb and one can of water, then I add the noodles - cooking until the noodles are tender.
